Since Naoko "George Lucas" Takeuchi started remastering her old Sailor Moon books, they're not as good anymore. Sailor Venus' chain doesn't even make blood splatter across the pages, it glitters instead. Even though you could argue that the blood is too violent (though it creates a nice parallel to the otherwise cute artwork), why would you replace it with glitter? The silly dialogue was also part of the original experience, and the actual mistakes in the artwork hardly mattered. Part of why I love the Sailor Moon comics is because of the contrast between the sweet and the gruesome, but now the sweet has to dominate. The original artwork and dialogue was good enough, despite some obvious flaws - in fact, the flaws are part of what makes a piece of art good; it makes it feel more human. The new version is not "ruined" or anything, but it isn't better either. After a certain point, you have to move forward instead of poking around in your old work.
