Another beautiful day in Zamunda (featuring carrots).

My brother (who helped me draw the a-w-e-s-o-m-e Sailor Moon picture) and I were playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent recently (not to be confused with Amnesia). We cooperated. I'm not very good at doing things quickly in games. Both of us thought that the game resembled Shivers in several ways. I wonder if that's common? I still think the latter is far more scary, but I guess it built up the tension in a different way. Shivers, that is. Whatever haunts the museum grounds, in my personal opinion, makes Slender look like it was made by Sanrio. Although my brother taunts me for thinking so. He thinks the game looks like it was made in MS Paint. Silly him. It's watercolours and photoshop. And FMV.

At first I thought I thought Shivers was more frightening because Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a more recent game and I had heard many more things aboout it, but the only thing I actually knew when buying it was that the game was "eerie and frightening" (not an actual quote). A lot of people made a huge point of it, so I suppose that made it feel less scary. There are more people you can relate to, wheras with Shivers you're completely alone (at least nowadays). I don't know anyone else who has a copy. When I got it I had only seen the advertisement in the booklet for King's Quest VII, so I had no expectations what so ever. When you are going to play a fearsome game that is most important. If you research a scary game before buying it, it becomes devoid of all tension. With Shivers I managed to avoid that effect. Every single time I play it I get strange dreams that feel like nightmares, only I'm not scared. I just feel wary and odd. Amnesia: The Dark Descent feels more like a laugh in comparison. Maybe I'm wrong though, maybe the scary parts are yet to be played. I'm not going to be unfair. And it did manage to make my tummy tingle like a cracker in birds.

I reccomend both, if I'm reliable enough to reccomend anything. Amnesia: The Dark Descent because it keeps you on your toes and Shivers because it's still true to the announcement in the trailer: It will scare you to death.

Figuratively speaking, anyways.

(If you have any questions regarding this text or the picture, they all have the same answer: "Girth.")

I'm experiencing trouble getting to play Leisure Suit Larry in the land of the lounge lizards, even though I'm twenty.

 Rolf the ladybird.
 August the turtle.
I included this template in case You want to make a similar animal-picture. It can be used to paint any animal with a shell. I suggest crab.
